The rise of social media and online video platforms has led to a proliferation of amateur, unscripted content, including "videos de reallifecam" (real life cam videos). These videos, often recorded by individuals in their daily lives, have gained significant popularity and sparked debate about their impact on online culture. This paper explores the phenomenon of real life cam videos, examining their characteristics, motivations for creation and consumption, and implications for online communication.
This study employed a qualitative approach, combining content analysis and online ethnography. A sample of 50 real life cam videos was collected from popular video sharing platforms, such as YouTube and Vimeo. The videos were analyzed in terms of their content, format, and viewer engagement. Additionally, online forums and social media groups discussing real life cam videos were observed to gain insights into viewer motivations and attitudes.
