The chemistry between Sasappis and Jessica is sweet, but the episode smartly avoids a fairy-tale ending. It reinforces the show’s central tragedy: the ghosts are stuck in a state of stagnation, unable to truly move forward with their (after)lives. Zaragoza’s performance is subtle and charming, solidifying him as a fan favorite.

This could have been played purely for dark comedy, but Moriarty handles it with a level of pathos that is impressive for a broadcast sitcom.
