We see him move like a phantom, utilizing his "eyeshine" in ways that the 2004 CGI could not quite replicate with the same fluidity. The character designs, while stylized, captured the essence of the actors. Vin Diesel’s Riddick is all hulking shoulders and swagger, while Rhiana Griffith’s Jack is gangly and adolescent, perfectly capturing her vulnerability and hidden strength.
