Kutralam, colloquially known as the "Spa of South India," is a panchayat town situated in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. Unlike typical hill stations that attract tourists during summer to escape the heat, Kutralam’s primary attraction is its waterfalls (Main Falls, Five Falls, Old Courtallam Falls, etc.). Consequently, the tourism economy is strictly dictated by the hydrological cycle of the South West Monsoon.
This period sees the highest tourist footfall, especially on weekends and public holidays.
