Ghosts S04e01 | Pdtv

As of my last update, has been well-received for its humor and the chemistry among its cast. The show revolves around a group of ghosts from different eras who find themselves trapped in a large estate. The main characters include Alison (a boisterous ghost from the 1970s), Mike (the show's narrator and a ghost from the 1990s), and various others.

Ghosts returns with one of its eeriest yet funniest cold opens. Mary Holland (as Patience) is a brilliant addition—her deadpan delivery of “I have been in the mud… listening” lands perfectly. The episode wisely doesn’t resolve the Patience conflict quickly, setting up a multi-episode arc. The writers lean into the show’s core strength: historical absurdity colliding with modern awkwardness. Jay’s reaction to having a fourth uninvited basement ghost is the episode’s biggest laugh. ghosts s04e01 pdtv
