Sheldon develops a revolutionary idea for a scientific grant database. However, his excitement quickly turns to frustration when the university’s legal team, led by President Hagemeyer (Wendie Malick), attempts to claim 90% of the profits. When Dr. Linkletter (Ed Begley Jr.) also tries to leverage a cut, a disillusioned Sheldon rants that science should be about innovation, not money, and decides to seek private investors instead.
